[Abstract] this paper introduces the packaging consciousness of the new era from the role of commodity packaging and the packaging situation in China today, and regards packaging as a semi independent commodity. To sum up, it means to be light, thin, short, small, easy to carry, combine environmental awareness, advocate green ideas, pay attention to model selection, highlight design, which can arouse consumers' purchase motivation, and be eye-catching and friendly, as well as accumulate corporate image

for advertisers in the new century, with the rapid development of advertising, we must make it clear that we have entered a new packaging era, packaging is no longer just the external protection of goods, it has become a semi independent commodity. The same goods can be in different grades because of different packaging

my paper is to discuss the packaging consciousness that we should have in the new packaging era. To sum up, it is to be light, thin, short, small, easy to carry, combine environmental awareness, advocate green ideas, pay attention to model selection, highlight design, which can arouse consumers' purchase motivation, and be eye-catching and friendly, as well as accumulate corporate image


as the saying goes, "people rely on clothes and Buddha rely on gold". In my opinion, packaging design is people's clothes and Buddha's gold. In terms of packaging design image, it is also professional and sharp like the jury composed of many well-known investors and entrepreneurs. It is the appearance of goods and the appearance of brands. It can not only show the character of products, but also accumulate corporate image

just look at the food packaging on the market to avoid problems in the process of experiment. It will favor warm colors, soft packaging, and soft fonts, because this will cause people's appetite and desire to buy

what about technology products? They tend to be cold colors, reflecting a kind of strength and determination, while blue is regarded as a technological color, because it shows calm, broad, inclusive and calm, which will give people a sense of hope and progress

when we enter shopping malls, supermarkets, stores, even snack bars and small stalls, all we can see are the various and dazzling commodity packages

when we stand in front of many commodities, especially in front of similar products with unfamiliar features (because there are so many new products now, what we need is not only choice, but also choice), how will we choose

in reality, usually in this case, many people will start with the packaging and the external image of the goods. This is the importance of commodity packaging design, especially in today's rapid development, this is originally a means of competition

so what kind of packaging design will strongly stimulate, attract consumers' attention, and let consumers buy it? This requires us to design the goods that need packaging design as artworks

then, what is the situation of packaging design in China

in the export trade business of mainland China, the packaging of inferior goods was once the most critical factor affecting the image and sales efficiency of China's goods, and this problem has not been fundamentally solved. I once read a message in the newspaper that the same package of tea has the same quality and weight. Taiwanese businessmen use exquisite packaging and can get ten dollars for export exchange. However, mainland manufacturers can only get one dollar in the same store after rough and crude packaging. Moreover, foreign consumers are not interested in this one dollar package of mainland tea and feel that the packaging is too poor

China's packaging industry has just begun to receive attention, and its development level is low. Exquisite packaging design is not common. There are still conceptual misunderstandings in packaging design, so we need to study the packaging concept and design level of advanced countries

we can say that the packaging design of goods is a comprehensive strategic process

then, for a commodity that needs packaging design, what is the first packaging strategy that designers need to consider? In my opinion, we should start from the following aspects:

what is the packaging material of this commodity? Sundaram on its display added some suggestions from his mentor Wojciech matusik, an associate professor of electrical engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at MIT; Marc Baldo is also an associate professor of EECS. Where is it? What is its packaging promise? What is the difference between it and competitive products? What are some special considerations when presenting? What are the concerns of its corresponding series of products? What are the necessary elements that must be put on the package? What are the preferences of buyers for packaging? And what requirements will the users of the goods have for this package? In addition, there are other ideas of designers' creativity

for advertisers in the new century, we have entered a new era of packaging. In this era, packaging is no longer just the external protection of goods. Designers need to pay attention to not only the physical function of packaging, but also the psychological function of packaging, that is, to attract consumers' attention, arouse consumers' interest, and have the function of symbolizing the meaning of goods. In other words, packaging has also become a semi independent commodity

in the new packaging era, what kind of packaging awareness should we have, including 9 product standards for additives GB 9685, enamel, ceramics, glass, plastic (resin), paper and paperboard, metal, paint and coating, rubber and other material products

1) light, thin, short, small

look at the lifestyle of modern people, smaller and smaller, thinner and lighter; Computers and TVs should be super clear and ultra-thin; Modern people also need to carry goods that are light, thin, short and small...

therefore, today's goods require good quality, light weight, small volume and less space, except for food, of course, but the packaging design of goods must not only be reliable in quality and can play a role in external protection, but also try to use light, thin, short and small materials

it's like the food packaging of earthen cans, which is fragile and difficult to handle, but what about plastic packaging, paper packaging? If you want to say that some goods cannot be protected by paper packaging, can you use light iron materials or degradable plastic packaging

2) advocate green ideas in combination with environmental awareness

everyone can feel the beauty of nature; Some people not only stop feeling, but also have a feeling of joy. This love of beauty is for 'fun'; More people love it. They think that just carrying happiness and running is still insufficient. They then create new forms and embrace beauty. This kind of creation of beauty is' art '

and packaging is such an art of creating beauty

according to the art produced by nature, or the artistic expression of nature is very simple, like a leaf and sunshine. Mountains and seas, different scenery, but they precipitate in our minds the impression is the same, is complete, is harmonious, that is, beauty

packaging, the art of creating beauty, should also create integrity, harmony and beauty. But in today's society, while creating beauty, we should also ensure that it does not destroy the beauty of nature itself. This requires designers to advocate green ideas in combination with environmental awareness (whether in materials or reuse)
